Once a yankee, will always be a yankee

In june 2008, i was enlisted in the pes a/b batch and send to tekong for my bmt training.
It was all a blur to me whats going on with all this army stuff, saying the oath blah blah blah.
After saying goodbye to my parents, i was brought away by this big green lorry.
It drove me deep into the road until we reach this place call rocky hill.
Upon there we reach this building called Y Company.
Welcome to Yankee Coy said one of the commanders.
So it looks like im a recruit under yankee coy under platoon 2.
Im a yankee.


Training at yankee coy was tough and well i hate it at first.
I dont like one of my commanders.


As weeks gone by i couldnt take all the pressure
One day during training i hurt the joints in my legs that i could run or march.
It was really painful and i tell my commander, i want out of the training.
I went to see the medical officer, he says if im really sure about this.
And that you have to go recourse since i didnt complete it.
All i say i dont care, my health is much more important than killing myself in training.

So in the end, i was OOT(out of training) in yankee coy.
As i look at my platoon mates train i was thinking if only i could train with them.
But i cant since im no longer in training.
As days gone by, i was a service to the clerk and storeman helping them wherever i can.
Didnt want to waste my time doing nothing ya.
Being an OOT i seem to get close with the staffs there especially the clerk since we both like to talk crap and gossip.

Not soon enough i got my posting to another camp as a storeman.
The clerk gave the papers and instructions.
He was really sad to see me go.
I was too.
I was really sad to leave yankee coy.
Whats more sad was that i didnt get to say goodbye to my platoon mates who is on outfield.
In the end i wrote a letter and gave to my commander, all he has to do was to read to my platoon.

As i take the ferry home with all my stuff, i say to myself that i will never forget yankee coy.

My ns goes on as per normal in my unit that i got posted to.
So days gone by as per normal just work and work and work.
At the end of 2009 i got to know that im going for recourse in 2010 jan.

I told my officer im going for it.
He keep telling me assuring me if i really wana do this
I tell him that i really wanna do this and thats final.

So in jan 2010, i went to report for my recourse.
Going to tekong after two years really bring back memories.
Can't believe im back here again.
After all the stuff is done, i got to know that im going to none other than yankee coy.
I was really shock and in awe.
I cant believe im goin back to the same coy i was in 2 years ago.
I was really happy.

As the rover brings me to rocky hill and to yankee coy.
I see that nothign has changed, yankee coy remains the same.
What was really surprising, was the Officer in charge of yankee coy.
The new officer was one of officer in my unit.
He welcome me with open arms and he was happy to see me here
Oh well i do too.

Being in yankee coy again really brings back those memories 2 years ago.
I cant believe im in yankee coy for my recourse.
A yankee will always be a yankee ya hehe.
My 2 years in army has been intresting at some point.

oh field camp is finally over!!!


Im so happy i made it through field camp
now i left with 3 weeks for bmt
its coming to an end

what makes me happy is the new snsd music vidfor thier new song "Oh"
it was a great song and a great music vid
i was happy that jiansheng manage to get the song in his ipod n i manage to listen to it at camp
so me n jiansheng the hard fans of snsd was waiting until yesterday to book out
we both just cant wait to see the music video after seing the 30 sec teaser
and finally i manage to see it

Thats the most word me n my section mates been using most of the time.
It either means good or bad in a funny way.
Oh well pass thta.
3rd week is over.
Now left with 4 weeks. Yup 4 weeks.
Happy to be home again.

The week has been hectic for me has there been alot of lessons going on for me.
God im getting darker again haha.
Nvm that, i just wanna end this.
5 months left to ord hahaz.

Time to relax for now and keep my body shaking with this nice song hehe.

book out book out day


after 2 weeks finally get to book out again
one word i can say during my experience is deja vu
cause im back at the same coy i was 2 years ago when i first enlist
i was like omg yankee coy
its like back to basics again hahaz

thought i might see jeffrey and hakim again
but nah they have ord last year
as i step into the office
omg i had flashbacks during the time i was still an OOT
helping and slacking with jeffrey with the paperwork
god it was great times
im so happy to be back at yankee

meeting new friends who are fresh
welll some are funny and great
but well being the 'old' one
i kinda hafta teach them and look after them
as eugene, one of my section mates say im the mommy haha

but im happy that they are happy with the way i am
happy to c them not being scared but laugh and just be happy
n not felt very uncomfortable around me
with that i can be who i am and not hide it
thats what i did last time n i well i didnt open up so it was hard

one of the section mare is a fan of Girls Generation
even better hahaz
finally i got a friend who i can sing and talk about girls generation
yesterday we both were enduring some kind of exercise we had to hold on
and we were singing the genie song together hahaz
it was fun

so yesterday back home to singapore
seeing the freshies booking out thier first time with joy and happiness
and as for me, been there done that hahaz
met up with my besties at night
mizz them alot ya

im gee with happiness right now hahaz

back to tekong

tomorrow i will be goin back to tekong to redo my bmt recourse
will be nervous for tomorrow and scared
but oh well lets just finish it
argh i dont know what i gonna expect haha
didnt prepare well for it

my body aches alot sia
guess from the dancing and not too much sleep hehe
yup had a dance practice with my friend yesterday for this upcoming danceworks
which will be held in march
and since i will be away until end feb
hes teaching me all the steps
well i got the hang of most of it hahaz


i will be back in feb
am hoping to finish this once and for all

anyways
since tomorrow i cant be there for my besties birthday
i would like to wish him happy birthday to Alif

Happy New Year 2010


Wow its been 2 months i havent blog
been busy or either lazy haha
oh well 2010 has arrived
means I ONLY GOT 6 MONTHS LEFT
god im excited
its coming near but yet it still far

has a great time on new years eve with my frens
didnt go clubbing but we did had a great time
hoping that this year gonna be a great year for me
unlike last year where there has been alot of surprising changes
in me and people close to me

i'm happy that i get to know about the girl group Girls Generation
the best girl group i had known that made me happy everytime
i had always thought that BoA will only be the korean girl that i will listen too
but with the power of youtube
it had made learn about Girls Generation

I guess time to move away Wondergirls, here comes Girls Generation the power of 9
that nobody song is so common nowadays that it has become a torture to me
